Employer ballot on Core EB coming soon
In 2009, QPSU members worked together to secure a new collective agreement for the core state governments departments that included record wage rises of 12.5% over three years.
The formal procedures required to certify this agreement are now underway. The full text of the agreement, including appendices relevant to specific departments, is available at the Queensland Government's website for public service industrial relations information.
A ballot of all employees covered by the Core agreement will be conducted by the employer from 7 May to 28 May by post to determine the level of support for the agreement amongst all employees. QPSU members have already voted overwhelmingly to accept the agreement, which is why our union has given in-principle support for the deal.
