QPSU delegates

A QPSU Delegate from Corrections
The strength and effectiveness of the QPSU relies upon the active involvement of a vibrant delegate structure. This site is a dedicated resource for QPSU Delegates, offering news, resources and information.

QPSU delegates play an extremely important role in the Union, by supporting and assisting their work colleagues, playing an active role in campaigns, and participating in the operation of the Union. The importance of this contribution cannot be overstated.

The QPSU is a democratic organisation. The matters pursued during enterprise bargaining, the focus and direction of campaigns, and the future of the Union are all determined by the membership of the Union. Our delegates play a key role in this democratic process.

What's a DSU?

Our Union has a Delegate Support Unit, or DSU for short.

The DSU's role is to ensure that delegates are provided with the resources and support necessary to confidently perform their role as a union workplace representative.

The staff within the DSU perform many roles including: maintaining our membership database; conducting delegates training; working with organisers and delegates to map their worksites; developing resources for organising campaigns; implementing our union's communication plan through our website; regular U-Mails; Union News and our union's journal, The Public Sector Voice.

This delegate's only website was recently updated to provide better information, news and resources for QPSU Delegates. It is a living resource which we will be updating over time.

Do you think there is something missing, or is there a way you feel this resource could be improved? We welcome your feedback and suggestions to kcf@qpsu.org.au.
