Have you moved? Have you changed work sites or departments? Have you changed classification? If so, you should update your membership details.

Many QPSU members assume that if they change jobs, department, etc, that the Union will automatically be notified of the change. Regulatory privacy controls can prohibit the communication of some information to the QPSU (or at least be used as the excuse for not passing this information along to the QPSU). So unless you tell us yourself of a change, we will quite often not get to hear about it.

It is extremely important that you keep us informed of any changes to your details because: you might stop receiving updates and important news from the Union; your membership fee may need to change resulting possibly paying too much or not enough; and we might not realise that you have moved to a different professional group or work area, which could impact on our effectiveness in advising and supporting you.

Keeping your details up to date is easy. There is an online form you can use to update your details. If you need to make a change to the way you pay your QPSU membership fee there is a downloadable form for this purpose. If you are unsure about what you need to do because of a change to your details or circumstances you can send an email to members@qpsu.org.au or phone 1800 177 244.
