About the HP "how to" Guides
HP "How-to" guides are QPSU members who are helping the rollout of the new agreement across workplaces in Queensland Health, so that union members can receive their hard-won benefits.

They will provide information, act as contact points, and help out union members who are having problems with their translation.
The implementation will be a complex process. For all workers to get their proper entitlements in a timely way, we need all workers to speak with a strong voice.
This means: having a majority of HP's as members of their union; a how-to guide at every workplace, and active participation in HP events, such as the "Happy pay day" celebrations.
If we believe in this agreement, if we believe that Health Practitioners deserve better wages, better career paths, allowances, and all of the other benefits that the agreement has to offer – we have to be prepared to lead that process across workplaces.
All HP "how-to" guides will receive a special kit that includes specially designed pay wheels to help you and your colleagues calculate your pay rises; posters for the Happy Pay Day celebration event; membership forms so you can sign up your colleagues when they receive their pay increase; and a feedback for workers who have any issues arising out of the translation process.
