HP Implementation Update

Following our success in getting Queensland Health back on track with phase two evaluation process there have been some further negotiations necessary to get final agreement from all parties.

Queensland Health sought assistance from the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission (QIRC) to provide guidance over the interpretation of the agreement and the agreed evaluation methodology.

QPSU HPIBB Representatives along with LHMU and Queensland Health representatives have been involved in two QIRC conferences followed by detailed out of session discussions over the last few weeks to develop a framework for moving the interdisciplinary review process forward.

It is hoped that a draft document resulting from these discussion will be finalised today to be reviewed by relevant QPSU Council Delegates prior to the next HP IBB meeting later this week (Thursday 18th June, 2009).

If all parties are in a position to endorse the draft wording of the interpretation at this week's HP IBB meeting it is hoped that the interdisciplinary review will commence immediately.
