It's been a long Phase 2 - We are nearly there!
It's important for us all to acknowledge at this time that the implementation of the HP Agreement has involved a number of dedicated employees, including you, who have volunteered to participate in the Phase 2 evaluation process. This process has been intense and those dedicated activists need to be congratulated for their hard work as do all of you for keeping members informed and up to date. Thank you!
At times delegates, Guides and activists may have felt that Queensland Health has not valued the efforts of the discipline and workforce representatives involved in the evaluation process or those people who took on extra workload to cover for extended absences, however our union knows the result that members have achieved would not have been possible without the efforts of panel and team members.
We suggest that you should encourage members to show those panel and team members (many of whom remain anonymous to the broader workforce) their appreciation for their efforts by supporting a motion of thanks in the coming weeks.
Over the last few weeks representatives from our union and Queensland Health have been working on finalizing evaluation outcomes under the supervision of the Deputy President in the QIRC - this has again taken longer than we expected however at this stage we anticipate that all workers will be notified of the outcome of evaluations at the end of November.
The union has also been working with Queensland Health to develop a mechanism that will enable all staff who are reclassified to receive a substantial proportion of their back-pay this year.

Watch out in your mailbox for a communication from us regarding the outcomes of Phase 2 and also information about celebration activities in your area.
Following the release of evaluations whilst a substantial number of members will achieve significant upgrades, some members may not be entirely satisfied with the result. That is why the union is working to put in place a fair and transparent appeals process. Details of which will be forwarded once this next round of negotiations have developed the appeal system.
