Newsroom

The Queensland Public Sector Union is pleased to advise all Queensland Health Medical Officers of the creation of Doctors’ Union Queensland (a specialized industrial unit within QPSU exclusively for Medical Officers) and the Union’s formal agreement for collaboration with AMA Qld.
Under the new QPSU/AMA Qld agreement your peak industrial and professional associations will collaborate and share resources with a goal of providing seamless delivery of professional and industrial services (collective and individual) to all Medical Officers in the public sector in the State and Federal jurisdictions. Doctors’ Union Queensland will be run by and for doctors and we encourage all doctors to become involved and to take up membership of both organizations.
Doctors’ Union Queensland is physically located on AMA Qld’s premises to facilitate a close collaboration of our full-time dedicated Industrial Officer, Jenny Cannon, with AMA Qld staff and committees. You can now learn more about your new specialized doctors-only union at new our website www.doctorsunionqld.com.au
Doctors’ Union Queensland has organized an initial series of meetings conducted by Jenny Cannon titled “Your union – Doctors’ Union Queensland” which will be open to all public sector Medical Officers. The purpose of the meetings is to
